LiMon Documentation

Welcome to the LiMon documentation. LiMon is an on-premises license monitoring appliance that supports FlexLM, RLM, LM-X, and DSLS.

Platforms

LiMon is available as Standard or Professional. Both platforms can be deployed as a native Linux package (.deb or .rpm) or as a Docker bundle.

  • Standard — Perpetual platform with Admin UI, Setup Wizard, intelligence reports, and up to 20 servers.
  • Professional — Perpetual platform with unlimited servers plus webhooks, AD/LDAP data enrichment for users and departments, compliance ledger, and advanced analytics.

Standard and Professional are perpetual platform licenses — you keep the platform tier you buy. Each purchase includes one year of subscription, which covers support and platform updates and enables the subscription-gated capabilities available within that tier while active.

Documentation conventions

This documentation assumes Standard capabilities are available by default. Inline pills are used only when a feature is Professional-only or requires an active subscription:

  • Pro Available in Professional only
  • Sub Requires an active annual subscription
